Svaboda Advances to U.S. Open

Andrew Svaboda, four-time Winged Foot club champion, and past U.S. and British Amateur participant, advances in his quest for a spot at the U.S. Open. Svoboda was one of 18 players out of a field of 153 to qualify on June 5 at Canoe Brook Country Club. After an even-par 72 in the morning on the North Course, Svoboda posted a 5-under 65 on the shorter South Course for a 36-hole total of 137. The U.S. Open is scheduled June 15-18 on the West Course at Winged Foot Golf Club.
